What better to go with your shiny new Hello Kitty-themed phone than — wait for it — a Bluetooth headset doused in cuteness? Apparently, a pair of these very devices have managed to surface, and we’re sure gals everywhere are clamoring to get their hands, er, ear under one. Granted, we’ve no idea how well these things would actually work (nor how much they’ll cost), but the adorable factor is undeniably through the roof. If you’re not already overwhelmed, feel free to check out the other version after the break.
[Thanks, Mickel]

Our vaporware alert hit yellow earlier this year when Call/Recall bragged about a multi-terabyte optical storage solution while providing no real proof that it existed, but now we’re afraid that’s been ratcheted up to orange. The latest from the company — which still seems to believe that no pictures are necessary to substantiate its claims — is the “industry’s first 1TB optical disc.” This device has reportedly been developed and tested behind closed doors, and unsurprisingly relies on its own 2-Photon-3D technology. Additionally, the company purports that it is “entering into product design and discussion with leading manufacturing partners,” so we ought to see something coming down the pike relatively soon if all of this is legit.

In the heat of the moment, we’ve no doubt that many of you out there rushed home and set up your Rock Band drum kit smack dab in the middle of the den. Yes, it probably seemed like a splendid idea at the time, but as the days pass, chances are that other occupants (roommates, SOs, parents, androids, etc.) will grow increasingly frustrated with having to bypass it order to flip on the gas logs. Enter the Rock Band drum bag, which enables you to disassemble your kit, neatly tuck it within the bag’s confines and slip it under the couch until your next “gig.” Of course, we can easily think of solutions about $50 less expensive, but just how sweet is that official Rock Band logo to you? Click on through for a shot of the inside.

November 21st, 2007 — die hard, Live Free or Die hard, Chamber of DRM, order of the phoenix, dvd ripping, harry potter, Portable Media, Video, DVD, Home Entertainment
Both Fox’s Live Free or Die Hard and Warner’s Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix come with digital copies of the flicks for your computer and portable media device. PC World’s reporting that Order’s DRM will be very similar to Die Hard’s except that it transfers to “your PC hard drive first and then moves to your portable unit.” It’ll work with “any device that supports Windows Media digital rights management.” Die Hard’s also PlaysForSure, meaning it totally doesn’t play for sure on your gear.
Warner has also yet to determine what’ll happen if your digital copy gets wiped off your hard drive. With Fox, you get a single phoenix down code to revive it if disaster or life strikes, and that’s it. Forever. On the more positive side for Fox, the PC version of Die Hard runs along at 1.6Mbps, with the portable running 768 kbps. This […]

International Climbing Machines’ Climber certainly isn’t the first of its kind, but we’ll admit, this thing can handle some pretty daunting tasks. After successfully lasting through a number of field deployments this year, this wall climber is reportedly ready to take on the world in assignments such as “climbing the surfaces of C-5 / C-137 airplanes, decontaminating a vessel in a Nuclear Power Plant and removing paint from concrete walls for the Department Of Energy.” Apparently, this iteration trumps many similar alternatives due to its ability to scale ceilings, rounded / rough surfaces and overcome obstacles that protrude up to 1-inch from a given surface. The rig can be controlled from the ground with a handheld remote, and attachments can be added for painting, cleaning, drilling or just capturing imagery from above. Mum’s the word on pricing, but feel free to check out a couple more shots after […]

When it comes to the millions of dollars involved in smuggling drugs, even coked out dealers can tackle a big, complicated project. Recently, Colombian marines seized a homemade fiberglass submarine big enough to hold 4 crew members and 12 metric tons of cocaine —making it one of the largest such crafts found. Since the sub never saw action on the Pacific, there is no telling whether or not it would have actually worked. Still, if you had to die a slow death at the bottom of the sea, this would be the vessel to do it in. [Reuters]

Cesar at Zune Insider says a full batch of Zune 80s are ready to ship and will be in most stores within the next week (give or take a couple of days). Apparently, Microsoft anticipated a greater demand for flash Zunes, leading to the Zune 80 shortage. Be afraid, iPod cassic. Be very afraid. [Zune Insider via Got Zune?]
